本所結合本校各系所、附設醫院與國際姊妹系的各種資源，包括師資、空間、教學研究設備等，並配合整體國家健康照顧，護理專業發展，地區特色，及社會文化之需求，以培育健康務實的護理進階專業人員。
本所亦著重國際化發展，強化國內外大學及學術研究機構間資訊交流，並推動姐妹校教師與研究生之交換或互訪，加強國際學術合作。目前與護理相關的國際姊妹系包括美國馬里蘭大學護理學院、美國阿拉巴馬大學護理學院及芬蘭Jyvaskyla科技大學之健康照護學系，本所研究生將依其學習需求前往姐妹校進行研究與學生交換，教師也依興趣及需要前往姐妹校進行研究，教師交換，及各種學術交流活動。
希望能藉國際姐妹校的資源提昇本所教育品質及研究品質，加強師資陣容、學生國際觀與創造力。
The Graduate Institute integrates resources from departments and graduate institutes across the University, the University's affiliated hospital, and its international partner institutions. These resources include faculty expertise, learning spaces, and teaching and research facilities. In response to national healthcare priorities, developments in the nursing profession, regional characteristics, and sociocultural needs, the program is committed to cultivating advanced nursing professionals who are health-oriented, competent, and practice-focused.
The Graduate Institute also places strong emphasis on internationalization. It promotes the exchange of information among universities and academic research institutions in Taiwan and abroad, facilitates faculty and graduate student exchanges and reciprocal visits with partner institutions, and strengthens international academic collaboration.
International partner institutions in nursing and healthcare include the University of Maryland School of Nursing and the University of Alabama Capstone College of Nursing in the United States, as well as the healthcare-related department at Jyvaskyla University of Applied Sciences in Finland. Depending on their academic and research needs, graduate students may visit partner institutions to conduct research or participate in student exchange programs. Faculty members may also engage in collaborative research, faculty exchanges, and other academic exchange activities based on their professional interests and needs.
By drawing upon the resources of international partner institutions, the Graduate Institute seeks to enhance the quality of education and research, strengthen faculty expertise, and broaden students' international perspectives and creativity.
本校畢業校友於護理專業、健康照護領域之努力，頗受社會肯定。碩士班畢業後可繼續護理臨床進階實務或進修國內外研究所博士班。未來的發展如：醫院醫護部職務、護理專業學校教師、衛生行政機構職務、和民間團體職務等。
